Foundational Bricks
The Burleson Pregnancy Aid Center was established in October, 1986.
Founded by a small group of concerned Christians, who wish to seek to educate the
public on the choices available to a woman who finds herself in a crisis pregnancy situation. We are a non-profit,
tax-exempt organization, staffed by volunteers and we rely completely on
donations for support. All gifts are tax deductible.
Management
The Burleson Pregnancy Aid Center (BPAC) management consists of
a Board of Directors and a Director. The Board of Directors consists
of men and women whose backgrounds consist of years of professional
service, medical service, corporate business experience, accounting
services and pastoral service.
The director comes from a diverse background of social services and
corporate business. She brings with her first hand experience dealing with a
crisis pregnancy.

Financial Support
The BPAC. is supported entirely by donations from churches, businesses, and
private individuals. We currently have 13 churches, 2
businesses or organizations, and several individuals who
donate on a regular monthly basis. Other donations are one time donations
generated from other functions. While these fundraisers
have been successful, it is our goal to improve community
awareness of the BPAC. so that we increase the number of regular monthly
donors. In order for the center to maintain it's
current hours and services we must be able to depend on more
regular monthly donors.

THE PREGNANCY AID CENTER'S FOUNDATION
Jesus said at the end of the Sermon on the
Mount, "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and acts
upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who builds his house upon a
rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
burst against the house, and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded
upon the rock."As we build the PAC ministry, we must
realize that in order to have lasting success, the entire
ministry must be built on the rock of Christ, having his word as our only
foundation. "Unless the Lord builds the
house, they labor in vain who build it." As we build the PAC on
principles consistent with God's character as revealed in
the Holy Scriptures, our work will overcome the
trials and attacks that will inevitably come our way, and we will bear
much fruit for God's glory, therefore, every
individual involved should be committed to the following ten foundational
bricks of truth: |
|
|
|
Foundational Brick #1 |
| A belief in the personal infinite God as
revealed in his written word, the Bible, and the Living
Word, the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the basis for the worth of every
individual because all are created in his image,
despite the circumstances of conception. All are the objects of His love,
for Christ died for all, despite our rebellion and sin
(John 1:1-14 and Psalm 139:13-18). |
|
|
|
Foundational Brick #2 |
| The PAC exists primarily to put God on
display. The PAC is an extension of God's presence
in the community of need, an expression of Christ's character in a lost
world, and an exhibition of the Spirit's power to
meet the need of those who trust and obey out of a "broken and
contrite heart" (Matt. 5:16). |
|
|
|
Foundational Brick #3 |
| Involvement with the PAC is not so much out
of a commitment to the Pro-Life cause, as good as
that may be, but out of a commitment to the Lordship of Christ and to love
hurting people through him. Every PAC counselor
should know the call of God and be committed to living
a pure personal life consistent with God's word, with their greatest
desire to be like Christ and to make him known to
others (Romans 12:1-2). |
|
|
|
Foundational Brick #4 |
| The PAC exists to give counselors the
opportunity to learn deeper depths of God's love as revealed
in I Corinthians 13:1-13 and how to express that love to those we serve.
Our first and primary concern should be the birth
mother, and to be available to her as long as she needs us. We are
committed to demonstrating an unconditional love toward all women
regardless of race, religion, lifestyle, or those
who forsake our counsel and obtain an abortion (Philippians 2:3-8). |
|
|
|
Foundational Brick #5 |
| The PAC is an evangelistic arm of the local
church and with all counseling services based upon
the authority of God's word. We are committed to a holistic ministry in
meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
of those we serve; therefore, every counselor should be equipped
to share the gospel message of salvation and discipleship as opportunity
arises (II Timothy 4:1-2). |
|
|
|
Foundational Brick #6 |
| The effective PAC is birthed by God through
prayer and will be sustained by God through prayer.
Truly "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the
rulers, against the powers, against the world-forces
of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly
places. Therefore take up the fall armor of God that you may be able to
resist in the evil day, and having done everything
to stand firm" Prayer and spiritual warfare are a priority at the
PAC and for all counselors (Ephesians 6:10-20). |
|
|
|
Foundational Brick #7 |
|
The PAC is committed to family ministry in
the following ways:
1. Upholding the sanctity of marriage according to God's principles
(Matt. 19:3-6).
2. Promoting moral purity and sexual abstinence before marriage (I
Thess. 4:2-8).
3. Respecting parental authority in the lives of those girls we serve
with a goal to minister to the entire family (Colossians 3:18-20 and Malachi 4:6).
|
|
|
|
Foundational Brick #8 |
| Because the PAC is manned by volunteers from
various churches and denominations, there must be a
strong commitment to "keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of
peace". All counselors, for the sake of harmony
should lay aside differences that could create strife, and all counselors
should defer to the policies and wishes of the governing church, board of
directors, or director of the center (Ephesians
4:1-6). |
|
|
|
Foundational Brick #9 |
| "God's work done in his way will never
lack His provision". There can be many different methods
in raising financial support for the PAC, but regardless of our method,
our trust and dependence must be upon God and God
alone, not our methods. Praise Jehovah-Jireh! (Philippians 4:19) |
|
|
|
Foundational Brick #l0 |
| The PAC does not accept the philosophy that
the end justifies the means. Since our primary end
is to put God on display, every aspect of the work must be carried out
consistent with God's holy character of truth and
love. There is absolutely no place for the use of deception or
falsehood in our lives or at the PAC. Lying and deception will never be
condoned as acceptable practices in order to get
into the PAC through advertising, telephone procedures, or any other
means (I Thess. 2:3-4). |
